Hi, my name is Paul. I provide person centred counselling and psychotherapy services in both Peterborough and Stamford.

I offer a warm, genuine & confidential relationship in which you can explore your challenges and find solutions to your emotional & psychological difficulties. People seek therapeutic support for many reasons. You might be facing a difficult life situation, such as illness, bereavement, or another form of loss.

Perhaps you're struggling with anxiety or depression, and the challenges that often accompany these distressing thoughts and feelings. Or maybe there's a sense that something in your life needs attention, even if you're not sure where to begin.

Together, through compassionate and curious exploration, we can work through what’s troubling you and support your journey of coping, growth, and change, aligned with your personal therapy goals.

Human beings have incredible adaptability, resilience, and courage. While life’s challenges can feel overwhelming, and may leave us feeling defeated or lost, believe we each carry a hopeful core, even if it’s deeply buried.

Person-centred counselling

As a person-centred counsellor, I believe that human beings are ever-changing, resourceful, and creative, with an incredible capacity for growth and development. You are the expert on your own life and experiences.

Sometimes though, life can present challenges that cause us to lose our way, become stuck, or feel too overwhelmed or frightened to take action. I believe that within the safety and security of a warm, respectful & genuine relationship, we can find our own way to cope, grow & change.

I offer such a relationship. You will not be judged but supported as you explore your concerns. I will be a companion on your journey. Though counsellors and therapists famously are reluctant to give advice, we can certainly offer different therapeutic strategies that may be helpful to you. By working together collaboratively, we can explore your challenges & worries and work towards your goals. Person-centred counselling can help you to develop solutions for your problems, gain confidence & resilience & empower you to live more fully. Focusing on ‘here and now’ feelings and working at your own pace, not excluding the past, but rather exploring how it is affecting you now. In this way, together, we can gain insight, foster hope and support you through your difficulties.
