Counselling in Stamford, Peterborough & Online
A calm, supportive space for anxiety, overwhelm, loss, and difficult life experiences.
How counselling can help
Whatever brings you here, you do not have to face it alone.
You may be facing a difficult life situation, such as illness, bereavement, or another form of loss. Perhaps you’re struggling with anxiety or depression, or living with a sense that something in your life needs attention, even if you’re not sure where to begin. If so, I’d like to offer my support.
My name is Paul. I provide person-centred counselling and psychotherapy in Elton near Peterborough, Stamford, and online.
I offer a warm, genuine, and confidential therapeutic relationship where you can explore your challenges and make sense of difficult thoughts and emotions. Counselling can help you to understand yourself more fully, recognise patterns in your life and relationships, and develop a clearer sense of the choices available to you.
Together, we can take time to explore your experiences more fully and work towards greater understanding, coping, and change in line with your personal therapy goals.
Life can sometimes leave us feeling uncertain, defeated, or disconnected from ourselves. Counselling cannot remove painful experiences, but it can offer space to reflect on them differently, and to better understand yourself and what you may need.
Reaching out for support rarely feels easy, especially during periods of uncertainty. But you do not have to work through difficulties alone.
Person-centred counselling
As a person-centred counsellor, I will work with you in ways that feel meaningful and helpful to you as an individual. No two counselling relationships are the same, because no two people experience life in exactly the same way.
Some people come to counselling wanting space to reflect openly on their thoughts and feelings. Others want to better understand patterns in their lives and relationships, develop ways of coping, or explore practical strategies that may help them manage difficult emotions more effectively. Together, we can find an approach that feels right for you.
At times, life can leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, uncertain, or disconnected from ourselves. Counselling offers a space where these experiences can be explored without judgement or pressure.
I offer a warm, respectful, and genuine therapeutic relationship where you can speak openly about your concerns at your own pace. While counselling is not about giving advice or telling you what to do, we can work collaboratively to better understand your experiences and consider what may help you move forward.
Through this process, counselling can support greater self-understanding, confidence, resilience, and emotional clarity.
