Counselling in Stamford, Peterborough & Online
A calm, supportive space for anxiety, overwhelm, loss, and difficult life experiences.

How counselling can help

Whatever brings you here, you do not have to face it alone.

You may be facing a difficult life situation, such as illness, bereavement, or another form of loss. Perhaps you're struggling with anxiety or depression, or living with a sense that something in your life needs attention, even if you're not sure where to begin. If so, I'd like to offer my support.

My name is Paul. I provide person-centred counselling and psychotherapy in Elton, near Peterborough and Stamford, and online.

Counselling offers a dedicated space to pause, reflect, and explore your experiences in a way that feels safe and supportive. Together, we can make sense of difficult thoughts and emotions, recognise patterns in your life and relationships, and develop a clearer understanding of your needs and choices.

Life can sometimes leave us feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or disconnected from ourselves. While counselling cannot remove painful experiences, it can help you relate to them differently and move towards greater understanding, coping, and meaningful change.

Reaching out for support rarely feels easy, especially during periods of uncertainty. But you do not have to work through difficulties alone.

Person-centred counselling

As a person-centred counsellor, I will work with you in ways that feel meaningful and helpful to you as an individual. No two counselling relationships are the same, because no two people experience life in exactly the same way.

Some people come to counselling wanting space to reflect openly on their thoughts and feelings. Others want to better understand patterns in their lives and relationships, develop ways of coping, or explore practical strategies for managing difficult emotions. Together, we can find an approach that feels right for you.

I offer a warm, respectful, and genuine therapeutic relationship where you can speak openly at your own pace, without pressure or judgement. Rather than giving advice or telling you what to do, my role is to listen carefully, understand your experiences from your perspective, and support you in finding your own way forward.

Through this process, counselling can support greater self-understanding, confidence, resilience, and emotional clarity.
